RE: Dualchord Expander - Martineh - 06-26-2025 Hi Thomas, I would like to mount the DualChords a little bit further in my rack. Is it OK to connect the expander to the NerdSeq with a longer 14pin cable, like 60 cm or even more ? Take care that your cable is 100% OK. For the rest no guarantees for any side effects but I expect it’ll be fine. RE: Dualchord Expander - Martineh - 06-28-2025 Thank you, I've just ordered it at schneidersladen, they made a longer cable for me
RE: Dualchord Expander - Martineh - 09-25-2025 Hello Thomas, I would like to set up a pitch bend effect of +12 semitones to the oscilators 5-6-7-8 of the dualchord (while 1-2-3-4 remain unaffected). This would be controlled by an I2C fader in the mapping screen. I'm not sure there is a way to achieve that, but I guess it would require a good amount of coding in the mapping screen. Your advice will be much appreciated. You can route the pitch through all octaves but that are not your music notes. So if I understand correctly, the smart solution would be a "coarse tuning" function but it has not been impletented yet. And the Pitch function would overrule the sequence of notes where I would like to rise up the pitch of theses notes. Therefore, it's not possible to achieve this at the moment. Am I right ? Would it be any chance so see a coarse tuning function implemented in the next firmware release ? Cheers RE: Dualchord Expander - jreign - 09-28-2025 Has anybody successfully mapped a usb host midi controller to play 4 notes live with the dual chord? I'm trying but can only play 1 note at a time. Using an Akai mpk mini 3 keyboard. RE: Dualchord Expander - 48484B - 11-21-2025 Is there a way to do an envelope, e.g. on the PWM? If I understood correctly, the LFO is a triangle shape and will run until it is stopped, otherwise that could be misused as a poor-mans envelope with linear shape. It would be good to either have a few Envelopes for the shape to run through the waveform shape or on the PWM to shape sounds each time they get triggered. This would allow for sounds like typical roland type PWM basses (Envelope on the PWM) and Bassdrums etc. quite easily, even though a bassdrum could also be achieved by multiple notes and glide, to glide down. WAVE X velocity seems to be not in the list of modulation sources, e.g. for vibrato or if an envelope or one-shot LFO would available, this could do an in-module VCA, which may also be nice if driving a VCF a bit harder, so how much the VCF is driven could then be Envelope or LFO modulated easily. A workaround could be to run the sequence at high resolution and edit “envelopes” into the sequence via FX values, though that would be a bit steppy and lots of editing. RE: Dualchord Expander - Carlier - 12-12-2025 Hello @thomas I own the Nerdseq + CV16 + Trigger16 + Multi IO (and I thank you every day for this beauty) I was wondering if there's a maximum number of expander modules that can be connected to the Nerdseq's NSA cable? Secondly, during Black Friday (I admit, I was just trying to get the 25% discount, I'm ashamed...), I've been considering buying a Dual Chord from every angle. After reading so much about the Dual Chord, I'm wondering why you made an additional module? What was the technical or commercial constraint that prevented you from simply connecting it to outputs 7 and 8 (samples) and the trigger outputs to trigger 16? |
