Nevertheless, I was interested in a portable version. The closest thing is the Dirtywave m8 mk2. Is there a chance that project recordings will be compatible and that it will be seamless to switch from one platform to the other?

If a portable will be there then the files will surely be not compatible. A NerdSEQ is too different to a M8. I think the only thing they really share is the look & feel.
So project files will definitely not be compatible.
