"Temporary" pattern - Retape - 09-03-2021
Yo, here's an idea that might not actually be technically feasible but which I really liked on my Deluge. The ability to make a "temporary" pattern, or one-off pattern - making edits to one of the patterns without it affecting all the rest of em. Like, if I want to add a small drum fill to pattern 02 only in a certain place during a song, and not have it affect all 02 patterns. The solution now is to just clone 02 into 03 and make the drum fill there, but it can get confusing after a few hundred patterns.
Probably not an easy feature to implement (or maybe not possible at all), but to me it'd be very useful at least!

I agree that it can get confusing to have lots of different patterns that do sort of the same thing, but I think it might get even more convoluted to have for example an FX option to add a row to this specific version of the pattern.
You mean like an FX to include this row specifically in this one version of the pattern?
Personally I might rather take the pattern clutter over patterns being the same but acting different. It's a tough one.

In my mind it would work more like Shift + OK and cloning a pattern, except making a "temp clone" or something (indicated by a square around 02 in the Sequencer view?).
