Display voltage amount in status bar - megarat - 11-08-2021 Greetings. Here's my request: when outputting a straight voltage from the modulation outputs or the CV-16 expander (e.g., the output that ranges from 000 to FFF or FFD), it would be great if the amount of actual voltage is displayed in that little status bar on the bottom row. I understand that the exact output voltage will vary by the position of the offset switch (on the sequencer itself or the CV16 expander), which probably can't be read by the software, so this can't be a perfect display of what is output, but even just a percentage (between 0% and 100%) would be great. For example, the status bar text could say, "EXT CV 3 Voltage: 52.5%" or "Modulation: 52.5%." It would be easy enough to do the math to determine that this would equal 5.25V in unipolar mode, or 0.25V in bipolar mode. Even a straight display of 0-10V or -5V-+5V(with the responsibility being on us to consider the position of the offset switch) would be greatly appreciated. Or, to have the voltage displayed on the right side of the screen (where the glide/step/mod values are displayed) would be equivalently useful, especially if we can also edit it from that field as well. But just having the actual voltage displayed somewhere, with no extra frills, would be great. Thank you for your consideration. RE: Display voltage amount in status bar - mgd - 11-08-2021 I second that. While not a biggy it would be a convenience enhancement ![]() My personal preference would be either percentage or assuming the voltage range is set to 0-10V (which of course provides the same numbers). Voltages should be displayed with 4 decimal places (percentages accordingly). RE: Display voltage amount in status bar - mvdirty - 11-08-2021 That definitely would be handy when targeting specific voltages. I currently do so by sending note values, which has its convenience for targeting whole voltages (and certain fractional ones,) but extra contextual information is always nice to have. |
