Punch in and out - Paprika - 02-05-2022

I'm currently experiemnting using Nerd Seq to record cv in from another sequencer (I have my reasons) and wondered if there is a way to set a punch in and out point? Or something similar, like record one play through of a pattern. Currently when I record I'm getting notes layering up as it records in a loop.

Make chains to record only into the patterns you want to.
You can also hold the table button which will delete the recorded data on the fly.

Amazing, thank you!

Hello nerds!

This make me think that it could be nice to have rec/stop rec/erase commands in the special commands, what do you think?

Should i add it to the feature requests?

What do you mean exactly? One that stops recording when it passes the command? And another one which empties the pattern (probably except for itself) when it passes it? I don't see the point for the latter one since you directly delete what you recorded.

I can see a point if it randomly erase sometimes when it pass by the command, this way we could create some evolving patterns.

edit: or lets say we want to erase only few notes of the pattern one of two times it pass it by putting the command inside a table for example.

edit again: Well i understand now its not so clear, i see it like that: it would do the same thing as holding the table button, until a next "stop rec" or "rec" command.

While active, it would make sense if it delete the notes on the steps, and replace it with what is coming from the input (if something happens there) so it gonna play at the next turn (assuming the command is not triggered every time).

Now im not shure that this is technically possible?

We can then have for example half the pattern that will always be the same, and half will be changing overtime.

Does this make sense?
