I2C shenanigans - mntbighker - 07-29-2024

I decided the other day to wire two Nerdseq together via I2C and it took a while to wrap my head around the process to get them talking. The ultimate goal is to experiment with randomness and complexity. I realized the I2C can reduce the amount of spaghetti above the panel. I plan to connect Just Friends as well next week when I can get a bit longer I2C cable.

Is anyone else doing anything similar? It is rare to see stuff about people sequencing a sequencer, but I've been fascinated by the idea. So who are I2C nerds out there?

p.s. Any idea why one of my IO expanders has a rubber plugged I2C TRS socket, and the other is not plugged? Bought at nearly the same time.

would be great to be able to launch the same rows of two nerdseq from one launchpad but i’m missing the needed IQ to do so!

Yes, directly after the first units have been shipped the discussion here in the forum came up to maybe add rubber plugs in the front of the I2C if is it not being used on the front. I ordered rubber plugs and add them since then.
