Understanding Glide Resolution - sync_mutex - 12-03-2024

I am trying to wrap my head around how glide resolutions work, for both CV and MOD glides.
I wasn't able to find some documentation, but if I missed something please point me there.

First thing I noticed is that when I increase the resolution I actually see more aliasing/less smoothing of cv values, where I expected the opposite to happen.
Also I cannot really make sense of what Glide values to use together with Glide resolution values.

Can someone maybe provide a formula or some examples on how they are supposed to work and be used so I can gain some understanding?

Cheers

Lower the glide setting -> faster / snappier glide. 0 = glide is disabled.
If the fastest setting 1 is not fast enough then add some to the resolution (finest resolution is 0). Higher resolution values makeĀ  indeed higher jumps ( = faster) to the desired value. If you set the resolution much higher then you get the stepped glide effect. Love it or not :-)

I usually use lower resolution values ( Something between 3 and 9 ) as a fixed setting and play around with the glide setting for my needs.

Thanks, I will try and work with the lower resolution values then.
