Record Notes from digitakt to drum Matrix - Jas1x - 12-10-2024

I would like to send midi notes from the digitakt to record into the drum matrix
Is possibile?

Yes you can record Note as triggers into the Trigger16 Drummatrix.
"For TRIGGER16 tracks, triggers can be directly recorded into the drum-matrix.
Starting from note C-3 all 16 drum-matrix values can be inserted in with a note on
command."
So if you set your CV16 track to record from the digitakt then the next 16 notes from C-3 will record into the 16 columns.

Does it have any input? You can see below in the statusline of the Midi setup screen if the Note data arrives properly and if the channel is correct etc. That should be the first thing. I see still the statusline saying Host V2.1.
I can't see the right side of the picture but I assume it says Track X Record. And the Track is assigned to a Trigger16?

OK, I can't see everything but the setup seem to be fine. If it shows Host -> Ch1 Note on/off on the screen then you receive on the correct channel.
Now, does the Digitakt really send a C#4? Or is it a C#5 or C#3. It depends on the manufacturers how to interpret the octave.
Try to play the sequence using the other notes and check if the trigger16 LED flicker up. If they do then they surely are able to record. I assume you kow how recording works in general, right?

the other thing I can't resolve.
I connected the keyboard to the TRS, but it only inserts the note in record mode.
I saw that you can enter the note even without records.

Track 1 Input and Track 1 record is not the correct use. If you want to record then the Track1 Record would be enough.
If you want it to fill in a note where the cursor is, then it has to be set to 'step input'. Because then it would fill in a note at the position where the cursor is. The drummatrix is currently not supported for the step input function but I will see if I can add it for the upcoming firmware.
