BPM-Control - PfoRsten - 02-05-2026
Hi I have tried to moddify the global BPM With the following mapping.
Code: | 00 | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 01 | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 02 | GLOB | BPM | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- | Not needed (just placeholder)
| 03 | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 04 | MCC | TC1 | # 35 |>| SETV | V C | ---- | Read CC35
| 05 | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 06 | VAR | RW06 | #03C |>| ---- | ---- | ---- | Set row 6 to Value 60 in decimal
| 07 | VAR | RW07 | #0C0 |>| ---- | ---- | ---- | Set row 7 to value 192 in decimal
| 08 | VAR | # C | SRC |>| ---- | ---- | ---- | References C for followup range command
| 09 | GLOB | RNGE | 06|07|>| GLOB | TMPO | ---- | sets the BPM range from 60BPM to 192BPM
| 0A | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 0B | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
This results in a BPM range from 8 - 24 BPM not the expected 60 to 192 range.
The Range command outputs my expected 60 to 192 in decimal. I also tried to write to a variable first and then send it to the GLOB TMPO but the same issue.
What do I do wrong? Is there a logic error i dont see or is it a potential Bug?
Best Regards

Found a solution that works for me.
I forgot to add the necessary offset. The incoming values from GLOB BPM are scaled differently then the outgoing ones.
Additonally I changed the controller mode for the encoder i use, from bipolar to unipolar. Not quite sure if that has any effect on the data send from the controller, but now it works.
Here is my current setting:
Code: | 00 | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 01 | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 02 | GLOB | BPM | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- | (just a placeholder > care, has a different scaling then the outgoing values to BPM!!!)
| 03 | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 04 | MCC | TC1 | # 35 |>| SETV | V C | ---- | Read CC35 and set it to Variable C
| 05 | VAR | RW05 | #FFF |>| ---- | ---- | ---- | Set row 05 to 4095
| 06 | CALC | DIV | 05|=8|>| ---- | ---- | ---- | Set row 6 to 4095/8 = ~512 (row 6 and 7 for range adjustments)
| 07 | CALC | DIV | 05|=3|>| ---- | ---- | ---- | Set row 7 to 4095/3 = 1365
| 08 | VAR | # C | SRC |>| ---- | ---- | ---- | References C for followup range command
| 09 | GLOB | RNGE | 06|07|>| GLOB | TMPO | ---- | sets the BPM range from 63PM to 167BPM
| 0A | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| 0B | ---- | ---- | ---- |>| ---- | ---- | ---- |
The values from row 06 and 07 could also be fixed ones, but i found it easier to think about the ranges by dividing from top down.

The destination for tempo is ranged from 0-FFF -> 1-500 BPM
Manual Page 200: TMPO Change the tempo/BPM 0 – FFF = 1 – 500 BPM
