One Shot Pattern Ability? - gromler - 02-01-2019

Hi Everyone,
Is there the ability to add a break to a pattern that will make it just play once and stop?  I would like to use this for a cymbal crash or just a quick fill.  This could very well be super basic functionality that I just have not figured out yet.  :Smile Thank you!

Yes, you can use the Special FX command to stop a track at any point. So when you play it, it will stop either on that position or at the end of the pattern. Both commands are there.

For a quick fill, there is a new function in the latest release candidate. Using OK / SHIFT+OK on another pattern (when edit is turned off), the sequence will jump directly to the same step of the other pattern and when it's finished it will get back to where it should play. That would be exactly your quick fill.

Awesome!  Thank you once again!

Just for reference, here are the special FX parameters that I was looking for.  I also highlighted the specific one I needed in bold.   Smile

002 – Stop Track immediately
003 – Stop Song immediately
004 – Set Clock Output
005 – Reset Clock Output
006 – Pulse Clock Output
007 – Set Clockreset Output
008 – Reset Clockreset Output
009 – Pulse Clockreset Output
00A – Reset all FX values of the track
00B – Reset all FX values of all tracks
00C – Jump to a random position in the same pattern
00D – Resync Track to the mainclock (synchronizes on the zero cross of the
mainclock)
00E – Resync All tracks to the mainclock (synchronizes on the zero cross of the
mainclock)
