musical Notes displayed with FLAT instead of SHARP - toyotavangelis - 06-28-2019

Most of my songs are in a musical with flat notes instead of sharp.
I always see it as E-flat rather than D-sharp. If there was an option in the menu to switch to the flat mode that would be lovely.
However, the ideal visual indication for me personally would be a mix between sharps and flats: C, C#, D , Eb, E, F, F#, G, Ab, A, Bb, B

So if there were 3 options in the menu: sharp, flat and mixed - that would be amazing  Heart

Ive run into this as well, tryin to learn my music theory, get hung up on this! but the way I'm thinking about it is that it would help me test my understanding of enharmonic notes Wink

Yes, I would like this too. A button combo to switch a sharp note to its flat equivalent and back perhaps?

A flat key should have flats!

This would be possible, but only if:

Only flat or only sharp! Both within would mean twice the memory for the notes (for both views) which is not possible.

They are no plans to integrate all possible keys to make a mix visible (though even then they are possibilities to show flats or sharps outside the key)

Only flat or only sharp is fine with me. In common practice you wouldn't be mixing those anyway, most of the time.

(One might insert an accidental natural or sharp in a flat key or vice-versa, for example in harmonic minor - but we can't have everything I guess).

My only request here is that the setting is per pattern and not global - so that key changes (from sharp to flat keys or vice-versa) are possible from pattern to pattern.
