adjusted default mod value - ello - 12-14-2019

hey there. when using +/- 5v for the mod outputs it would be useful if the default value would correspondent to 0v. since this would not change the output directly to -5v. at least to me it would match mor to a workflow with modulations to start from no modulation.

or is there an option to adjust this?

The Offset switch is a hardware switch and it is not possible to 'detect' how the switch setting is in software. I also don't see the benefit as all values that you can fill in are always positive values. It's just not possible to have positive and negative values with the available amount of digits (which is in most cases 2 or 3)

Just some insider information: If i would start the project again i would have make it different. Instead of offset switches most probbably the possibility to control the full range of -5 to +10 volt.
But yes, we stick with the hardware since a few years....Thats something for NerdSEQ2 (if that ever comes)

ah.... but wouldn't be possible to add an option to the setup that creates the mod value for new note entries to 800? so one can just select that? the situation which braught me to that was that i use the mod out for the cutoff of my mother-32. if i now add a new note initially it completely closes down the lowpass filter. which would be more convenient if it was set to the middle and thus the output was 0v.

i really have no idea about the effort there, but it is something similar that happens when you add a pitch effect. it's default value is 40 and that doesn't chenge the pitch, right?

SHIFT+RIGHT adds the last used value.
SHIFT+LEFT adds the default value which is zero for the MOD column.
SHIFT+OK toggles between 0 and 800 and the notes. So when filling in a value pressing SHIFT+OK twice will directly get you to the 800 which is the middle value. I think that is very usable for your situation.
