Sync issue with NerdSeq + Tanzbar2 - nikizi - 04-28-2020 Hello, Hope everybody is doing fine in these strange times ![]() So I have an issue as my drum machine (Tanzbar2) and the NerdSeq won't start exactly at the same time, which result in a 1step delay between the 2. Ableton sends a clock to the NerdSeq through my audio unit (Motu), and also sends a midi clock to the Tanzbar : - For the NerdSeq, I tried with a normal 1/16 clock, and also with the 24ppqn clock : this is made with the CV Clock Out module from Ableton ![]() ![]() - For the Tanzbar, I tried with its USB input, and also with a midi bridge (M-Audio Midisport 2x2) into the midi in port. In both cases, the NerdSeq still starts 1 step later than the Tanzbar I've been using the NerdSeq alongside Ableton's midi clips, both would start at the same moment without any delay Example : If I play 2 identicals regular 4/4 kick pattern, one on the NerdSeq and one in Ableton, it's perfectly in sync My questions : - Am I doing something wrong ? - Is it a common issue ? - Is there a simple way to fix it ? - Would the NerdSeq midi expander fix it ? Thank you for your time :-) Feel free to ask questions if something is not clear RE: Sync issue with NerdSeq + Tanzbar2 - XORadmin - 04-28-2020 I assume something in your Ableton setup is not correct. The NerdSEQ is well in sync when clocked from external (as you proof yourself when testing with clips). Of course using the Midi expander would solve your issue, but i think you should be able to fix that by changing somewhere the ableton settings. |
