I’m trying to dig a bit deeper into tables here. I couldn’t find this in the manual, but is there any way to automate the components of the table from the FX. For instance, to change the type of sequencing, so I can alternate between running forward and backward in a controlled manner. Or do I just need to create a new table for each configuration? Thanks!

The options of tables can't be changed from a sequence actually.
So indeed, use multiple tables with different configurations and call them depending on what you want to do (you can also chain tables, so you could make tables longer than 16 steps actually).
