Can the handling of the JF boolean destinations be represented as such in the NS firmware in future? Instead of note off or note value.

Are there boolean destination? I think I added all the commands it supported at the time (which made sense anyways).

I found out the hard way that the JF firmware on the product page is old. Using I2C was crashing it. You need the firmware from the Github page (4
x) for things to work as expected. FYI

Hi! Did you find any answers? I'm on the same page here and for now only managed to configure i2c channel on NS and try different commands, but JF stays unresponsive to any commands and i've spent hours trying to make any progress at all.JF i2c works well with my Norns and crow though

Things to consider:
- do you use the correct pullup setting/voltage (if needed at all)
- did you set the I2C port as an output?
- within the I2C track setup, did you set the good column-destinations to use (or to be more specific, do you know the JF and what it needs to be able to play it) and did you set the columns also to the correct address of your JF
- are you using the correct I2C port?
- is you JF firmware up-to-date?

Mappings are not involved here.

It is reported to work, I could never test it myself though.
