Video Expander Firmware V3.0 and info

I first made sure to plug cables in away from the sd-card first ,. I will back up some data on one of my fpga sd cards and see if that works . then will get back to you . I was very careful plugging them in and swapping them about.

It's just something I assume in the first place since it happened more often (and lead to broken Sd cards). 
It is also something I can't change due to the size limits, so it stays a possible issue.

However, check the FPGA cards and as long as they are formated to FAT32 it should be generally fine.

Ok , made a back-up of my fpga card , was too big to format to fat32, used cmd console , left it overnight , grrr stupid windows says too large to format this morning .
so I took original card and after several attempts Rufus could see the card, I run a format with check for bad , Rufus reports this .

128MB is defintey wrong and points to a bad SD card. You can try to format it again of course but if it doesn't show up as 32GB already then there is some low level stuff wrong and I don't know if that is possible to fix with common tools.

A 64 GB card should work just fine. For now I only assume the SD card got an issue and not the hardware (never forget to never hotplug the expander cables).

cabinet is switched off during any plugging and unplugging. should the files be unzipped on the card or still inside zip , one post says to unzip to drive and another post says to leave compressed.

Ok , now as far as I can tell everything is working ok , ( at least out to composite ) keyboard works ok as well , this is how I expected the expander to work out of the box yesterday , but its been reasonably frustrating to say the least . Now I am grinning like a cheshire cat. I used to write some experimental hlsl shaders in the past that could talk to a realtime dx render 3D software I worked for  , and now I am quite exited , not sure if I will look into writing some shaders but maybe maybe 

Should I request a new sd from Signal Sounds ? I wonder what or how the problem was caused , it didnt state I was buying a returned unit . Odd.

Great that it works. HDMI will be fine, too.

Also not sure, but in general, SD cards are the weak point of many systems. They can work perfectly fine for years but in some rare situations they just go corrupt. And I am not talking about NerdSEQ or Video Expander only but every system that uses SD cards.

Up to you, signal is possibly closest for you if they got SD cards at all. And for me I can simply put one into an envelope and send it.
