I was looking (again) at triggers and gates, and wondered, how long is a tick?
D0 = ?
And, I imagine that one step (E0) = 00 > 01 = 1 step?
I'm asking this, as sometimes it seems that if you set the auto fill trigger (and) default trigger type to E0, sometimes there seems to be no trigger, especially if you place a note on several following steps (ex: Row 00, 01, 02, 03). Seems a bit odd, but if I need a very snappy melody, it seems safer to put 10 in the trigger column.

1 tick is 1/6 steplength with a 24ppqn system which the NerdSEQ is.
E0 is a complete steplength and not suitable for multiple steps as you want to use them.

Thanks for the info, although "E0 is a complete steplength and not suitable for multiple steps as you want to use them.", which means?

Haha, yes bad english :-)
E0 is a full steplength which releases the gate again when the next step starts. If you have the E0 on the next step again you get the new gate together with the releasing gate and that is the effect you get that it will often not ‘retrigger’.

Okay, that's good to know (and to understand). In fact I should (just for the experiment) try the E1 setting to see how that works - when having fast melodic lines, it could also be a good setting for a default trigger.
BTW, for the Tick, if I understand correctly, there are 6 ticks per step?
Thanks.

Yes and you can choose your default trigger already. E1 is a good one as that is half a step (and with Ex it is not derived from ticks but calculated with the main clock time, opposite to Dx).

They are 6 ticks per step as default setting (which is in fact 24ppqn = 24 ticks per bar, 1 bar = 4 steps, 24 / 4 = 6) but in detail they are 'groove' ticks per step ;-)
