need help with random notes
#1
Hi,

I'm rather new to the Nerdseq, but have successfully finished a first track with it and it is my favorite sequencer ever.

What I can't wrap my had around is the "structured" use of random notes - so if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.
Have studied the manual, watched videos, etc.

I want to achieve this: Have a track randomly play selected notes (say D and G) in a given octave range. Now - the ranges I know of, but how do I configure the track (or the table) so that it only the "allowed" , quantized notes will be played?

(I've tried to change table presets - can select them but there's no OK button  in this dialog to confirm my choice (?))

Thanks a lot for finding the right path Smile.

Cheers, Collin

Choose the scale for your track. Project -> scale. There you could create an own scale with only d and g.
And use it only for that track. This combined with random notes will do the job.
Using tables would work, too though but using the scales is better.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
Every (unnessesary) forum support means less time to develop! But of course, i am here to help!  Smile

Thank you so much! It's working as expected - I must admit that I wouldn't have found the solution myself. Great support!
