I2C Settings with F8R, CVM8, Just Friends?

I emailed MSW, and was informed that they would check with their firmware person to see if additional features could be added by modifying the json. Currently it only provides the ability to modify the i2cSlaveAddress. I thought this should have made setup simpler, but still could not get it to work.

Then I tried the CVM-8 which runs in leader/follower always or never, so that was easy to experiment with. Always worked great as Leader on x31, but anything else in follower mode would flash red very sporadically on the Multi-IO without any consistency. I was running simultaneously the CVM-8 configurator and tried multiple things suggested by Os.

As for the F8R only changing the follower address got to be enough.

Also for the cvm8, in the MW post Os asks if the NS supports the cvm8. I would say yes by looking into the manual. The cvm8 uses the same protocol as the others as it seems.

Maybe it makes sense to ask what happens if ports 9-16 are polled as well instead of only 1-8. By the hardware protocol layer it should properly reply (with value 0 I assume)

Hi,

just to confirm OP, I have also been unsuccessfull in trying to get F8R working in follower mode.
It works fine in leader mode but no dice in follower mode.
