I would like to request file import and export of groove presets or open a thread about groove presets.
otherwise something like 64 groove presets could become tight -
as of now i have 64 different groove settings that are musically relevant to the way nerdseq works,
as a teaser let me just give you the 16th note swings, i haven't seen this documented too much on here.
66 No Swing
75 58.3% Swing, very close to MPC 58% swing and Septuplet swing (4:3) great for house.
84 66.6% Triplet Swing, close to the MPC 67% Swing setting
93 75% Dotted Swing, (3:1 ratio) like MPC 75% swing.
A2 83,3% Swing. Extreme Swing close to quintuplet.
B1 91.6% Swing Maximum Swing, almost like a Flam
the same goes in reverse,
57 Pushed / Reverse Swing, very urgent
48 Reverse Triplet, Gallop
39 Reverse Dotted
2A Extreme Push
1B Reverse Flam
for 8th note swings there are between 16-24 relevant combinations plus their reversions
including the often looked for 8844 for triplets like on the old TR-606
8-digit codes for septuplets and 16 digit/32digit/64 digit/128 digit presets for risset rhythms, fibonacci and such.
so having these hopefully editable presets available will be populated very very quickly and thankfully
people don't recognize the nerdseq enough for the fact that it is possible to have each track running on a different groove timing. which is nearly impossible on most other trackers!
PLUS it's possible to use the swing parameter in the main menu on top of whats going on! that's so insane!
having said that it would be nice to try existing patterns with all of these without hammering them into each project file without importing 64 individual patterns every time.
OR: if a pattern file already stores the groove data, can the groove import function, only import the groove portion of the pattern? that would help too.
