Is it possible to use MOD for transposition and retain table and scale support?
#1
Hi forum,

I have a working setup that allows me to transpose patterns using one of the CV outputs patched into one of the inputs.

However for it to work I have to switch CV outputs to 0V/10V instead of -5/+5 which is my preference.

I understand that I could setup transposition using the MOD outputs and explicitly setting specific values. I could also use the new ADD/SUB/MULT/DIV functions and probabilities etc. which gets me a long way. However it is my understanding that I would loose the stuff tables bring to the table (couldn't resist Wink ), namely restricting notes/transpositions to certain predefined scales. I also would have to newly figure out transposition timin, but that is a different topic.

Is there a way to do that with MOD or do I have to accept that I have my CV outs set to 0V/10V?

Kind regards,
Michael

I got to check that. The main difference is here that for the CV it is Note first and pitches 2nd. For the MOD it is the other way around, there it's pitch first and Notes second.
Of course things are possible basically, but it might be paired with quite some extra effort.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
Every (unnessesary) forum support means less time to develop! But of course, i am here to help!  Smile
