Regarding the use of autogate

Regarding the use of autogate, if I turn on auto gate and I want to fill in the trigger or gate I want to use in a certain step, this trig or gate will seem to be muted, but it is actually delayed. Why is that? How to solve it? I have tried all the minimum and maximum values for the autogate time out and the trigger delay of the track setting, nothing helps, I am really frustrated.

Triggers do overrule auto-gates and their functionality (like retriggering on just a note change if the gate was not off). In your case the gate is on and you do a trigger which is also on for 2 ticks. And that means there is no retriggering. You just go from a ON situation to another ON situation.
It’s not related to any delays.

I'm guessing the same thing, but if it behaves this way, doesn't it defeat the purpose of trigger being able to overrule autogate? Because in fact, if I decide to use trigger to overrule the auto gate of a certain step, I have to do one more action in the step before the trigger, such as adding TR00. This makes me completely confused about the meaning of trigger overruling autogate. If the auto gate is used to facilitate filling in notes, can there be a very short gate closure in the gate of each note?

The autogate does the short gate closure but if it is overruled then it doesn't happen.
For me 'autogate off' is the default setting and it is in there to allow 'classic' tracker note on/off behaviour and a little bit easier start when you never worked with trackers.
