Trying to figure out.....
#1
Is there anyway I could take an external trigger coming into the nerdseq and send it out of both the trigger output of a channel and also the mod output?   It would my make patch configuration much simpler.

Like use it as a multiple? I don't think that it would be possible. I was thinking about some special automator routing, but there would be also too much latency / jitter involved.
I think you'd better go the classical way anyway for any tools.

Im not sure If i mean multiple.

In my rig Im controlling both a Basimilus iteritas alter and an akemie's taiko each with an individual malekko voltage block. the standard way I set it up is with Nerd seq controlling the trigger input on the drum module and the mod output to the clock in(cv in by switch), of the voltage block letting me choose timbre's with voltage amounts. however sometimes equally useful in the set up is to use the intellijel steppy 1u to both trigger the drum and step the sequence of the VB.

I actually did get this to work in a weird way, but the method I figured out doesn't allow me to change out of it during a song.

I have, in automation, the input of the trigger source going to both the  01 mod input, and then also option 14 step overrule on the same track channel. it only works if step overrule is  second on the list.

Then, in an open track, I make a trigger on beat 00 and a higher mod voltage.. somewhere around 400 atleast, and... it works!.... kind of

but it feels like a work around and I cant escape this once its set up. What i mean is that You cant jump to other patterns in this forever loop. unless you hit shift-stop.

my other option might be to use way too many switch multiples to avoid even sending triggers into the nerdseq...   but if I can get it to work with out thinking i need to get more modules, : /

Here’s the question I think I’m looking for, could trigger out be an option for automation destination?

I think that should be possible.
But just in what way would it be then? Every raising zero cross set the trigger and every falling zero cross resets the trigger?

Yeah I think so.  Then if a trigger from an outside source sent into the nerdseq’s cv ins could be used to trigger my sound sources right? If so that would be perfect.  Maybe they would have something to do with impending envelopes in the automation section?

I still don't get this, but instead of the MOD setting to 400 you can change the offset of the LFO which has the same result.
Also, you can get out of the pattern by pressing stop twice, then you can start another pattern on the same track.

Im not using the LFO though, im using ext cv in. (a trigger in from intellijel steppy 1u module). because the lfo will be a static constant trigger out, and Im looking for varied patterns, hence the work around to get there.

about the pressing stop twice, your right, i just tried it, and it does work however i think its not a good permanent solution.

Normally it makes more sense to have the modules set up to be controlled by the nerdseq, but sometimes its nice to make it a little bit more on the spot so I have this steppy module to help out with that.

Sorry if what Im saying doesnt make sense. Im not always good at explaining what Im trying to ask about , but then again if i was, I think wouldnt need to ask in the first place.. : /

No worries. But as in general, NerdSEQ is a sequencer in the first place, with many functions and with some you can replace some other modules sometimes.
But modular synthesis makes perfect sense at the point when you exactly do this thing, use the NerdSEQ as sequencer, add some FX but make some cool patches out of it to create even more interresting stuff.
