I think it would be very cool if it were possible to optionally make the time constants of retriggered gates to be divisions of the incoming clock

e.g 4 x 1/128, 3 x 1/32

I think you mean ratcheting and this is already possible.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
