Dinsync with TR-606 not working
#1
Okay so I've got FW 1.27 on my Nerdseq and a MIDI expander module.
I'd like to clock the Nerdseq from the 606 via the IN port of the expander. But no matter what I try it doesn't work. On the other hand using MIDI-Out set to DINSYNC to clock the 606 doesn't work either?
Could this be that this is still not possible with the Nerdseq? I wanted to take a small setup with me with the Nerdeq at the heart but if it isn't working I have to change plans unfortunately  Sad

Using a digitakt with the same cable works fine.

You don’t use the expander. Dinsync uses the clock and reset inputs.
Even though midi and dinsync use the same connectors, the signals and pinout are totally different. ( shame on that person who decided once to use the same connectors.
If you don’t know, ALM got cables from dinsync DIN to the eurorack jacks.

I bought the expander because I thought it it would enable me to do that since the nerdseq is also advertised to support dinsync.
If this is not possible then I cannot use it the way I intend to which really is a shame.

You don’t need the midi expander at all for this  so you got space for something else in the rack.
The expander is really only for Midi and was never advertised for dinsync.

The manual does also give the information:
- DIN-Sync – Sequencer runs from external DIN-Sync signals while the clock input is the Din-
Sync clock signal and the reset input is the Din-Sync run/start/stop signal. The continue
signal is not supported.

The cable is nothing else than a splitter from a dinsync port to the input jacks.

Sorry if there is any confusion.
