I recently updated my nerdseq to the 2.01 firmware and I'm super duper pleased with the mapping interface and the ability to jam with the euclidian drummatrix and a midi controller.
But I was wondering if it were possible to set a default "first" row (or a first row shifting function per track if that make sense) for each drummatrix track in euclidian mode?
At the moment if I create a pattern and fill a track using the euclidian function, the first step is always on row 0.
but as an example: lets say I have 16steps pattern with a kick drum on track 1, Hats on track 2 and snare on track 3.
I want my default first rows to be:
- row 0 for kick,
- row 2 for the hats,
- row 4 for the snare.
by doing this I can either "mute" the track by removing all the euclidian steps, very easily come back to a classic beat with off-beat hats and a snare on 2nd and 4th beat, but still being able to use all the power of the euclidian filling.
I tried to find an answer or a workaround by reading the manual but maybe I missed something or it is simply not possible (at the moment?).
