I figure if JF, ER-301 and Disting were not stupid complicated there would be no reason for I2C in the first place.
Actually ER-301 and disting are quite straight forward compared to the JF. And it doesn’t have to do with I2C and neither there would be a need for it.
On top of that, I2C adds a layer of complexity. Still you got to see these totally separate. I2C is like midi just a different way of connecting a patch cable.
