Triple 16n faderbank controls using X,Y,Z

I was thinking it would be cool if the parameters that a 16n faderbank controlled could depend on the selection of x,y,z on the multi-io, essentially tripling the amount of controls. This could be implementing by adding mapping assignments for X,Y,Z to the i2c inputs in the mapping screen?
