Okay, that might be the problem, I'll try with higher values (in the LFO). However, I think the best way to change values is by simply going to track setup and and cancelling the FX1-4. It works immediately and you can just set it off again when needed, it's a bit clumsy, but it works.
To be honest, I'd hoped that you could use the Automator setting by putting the LFO at zero speed and amplitude, simply cancelling out the FX1-4 in the setup screen, if that makes sense.
