It is not related to your file. I think you are not changing the parameters of the shader you are running at that moment because:
In your picture you are editing the alpha of shader 1 V RAINBOWRO...
But you attached the EVERTEMT shader which is another one. So I think most probably you change the values of the wrong shader. Keep in mind that you have 8 shader slots with each its own values and parameters and you can change values of shaders that are not running.
