groove granularity

Excuse my question, I still struggle to get this machine to groove, in a simple way.
Is it because it's a tracker and by design there isn't a simple swing/shuffle thing on each track?
Plus maybe, something like the "shift" on the drum seq of the beatstep pro? To go further..
I don't get the advantage of the actual functioning of the groove track?
It makes the use way to complicate and not subtle, no?
Don't get me wrong, those are just questions, I love this seq and I'm sure I'm missing something,
I may not be super nerdy enough!
