I imagine in Track 7/8 it would remember its position (column, row) on Sample 1 (Note/TR/FX/Groove) and translate it to Sample 2.
However with MIDI, since each screen is different it would instead just translate the row location on the first column of the next screen (pressing Pattern would cycle Notes -> PC -> FX3 -> Notes, and Shift + Pattern would cycle backwards).

I def want something like this as I spend alot of time moving to various lanes on the left side of the screen, and sometimes all I want to do is go directly there or check the groove lane, I suggested earlier a shortcut/button combo to jump all the way left/ to the groove lane, for me either of these options would be great...
