I just ordered a Bitbox MK2 and a NERDSEQ MIDI I/O. I’m looking forward to it. I’m hoping to sequence some sliced breakbeats for some old school, atmospheric drum and bass and asian underground vibes, amongst other things. Do any of you have a Bitbox and any general advice for setup?
For instance, do you use MIDI out from the MIDI I/O into the Bitbox, and is there a particular 5 pin Din to 3.5 TRS cable I need (I’ve read there are a couple of cables, with the TRS wired differently)? Or do you use the NERDSEQ trigger outs and CV inputs? I’m curious if there’s much latency. I’m also curious how well the CV recording works (on the Bitbox). Could I record CV and then NERDSEQ sequence the CV recording on Bitbox, to create some smooth knob turns to automate/modulate my other modular units?
I would love to hear a bit about your setups and your overall experience, satisfaction, peeves and so on! Maybe it’ll be straightforward but would love to hit the deck running.

I’m also curious about using a Faderfox with my Expert Sleepers ES-9, to have some faders for it’s internal mixer in standalone mode. Curious if I could use the NERDSEQ MIDI I/O to connect to my ES-9. Will post this on the ES-9 Muffwiggler thread as well, but just in case anyone here understands this, doesn’t hurt to ask... I’ve read that I can use the XOXO MIDIXO (only 2 HP) as a MIDI TRS breakout but want to see if the NERDSEQ MIDI I/O could also serve the same purpose (it will be the last 2 HP in my rack and I need another mult).
