I finally received my BITBOX MK2 (as well as the NERDSEQ MIDI IO). I've had no trouble sequencing BITBOX one hit samples via it's 16 trigger inputs. I am having trouble with sequencing the slicer mode...
I've loaded some of my Jungle Warfare breakbeats in and have them sliced up, nice and easy. I just can't get them to play via external CV. I've routed (NERDSEQ) CV1 out into (BITBOX) Ext 1 input, with the the slice set to be controlled via Ext 1 in Bitbox (using 1 v/oct on). When I send Notes via CV 1 out from my NERDSEQ, nothing happens. I'm fine with sequencing the rest of my rack with the NERDSEQ.
Kubase, or any others, any feedback on the settings to get this to work? I still haven't tried the MIDI output on the NERDSEQ, to control Bitbox via MIDI (though I need to get a TRS-A.MIDI cable, as Bitbox only includes a TRS-B one). I wonder how that will compare to CV control?
Thanks much!

How I do it:
1) Slice loop into 8 or 16 equal parts.
2) Send trigger to input X.
3) Send CV to another input.
4) Set Slice to 1, and modulate with the CV input
5) Set Slice Seq to forward but don't modulate (although I imagine you can as a source of variation)
6) Don't use v/oct.
Then, in Nerdseq, create the 'base' pattern.
1) Trigger every 8 or 16 steps so there is one trig per slice, evenly spaced
2) Set the mod voltage so it ascends through the loop one slice at a time - 000 will play the first slice, etc. It should sound 'unsliced' when played back.
Now you have this base pattern, you can go nuts. Trig whatever slice whenever you want as you now know the voltages for each slice. One thing I like is creating other patterns with fills, setting up an FX in the base pattern to jump to the fill patterns and then using the next fx probability for random fills.
Hey, this is great. Thanks so much, looking forward to trying it out in just a bit. Last night, I did get the triggers to play through my slices randomly, which sounded nice. Here’s what I came up with:

I’m not so into the breakcore, extreme Squarepusher thing (though I also love Squarepusher), so it will be nice to have some more control over the slices, to create some more groove in the rhythm!
