It is not suppose to reset. The tick and pattern do sync with the mainclock.
So if speed is set for example to one then one full waveform is 64 steps. If it would be on step 32 it is at the half of the wave. It is 1:1 related to the mainclock position.
You would want to use the mul LFO which you can also run from steps or ticks and these you can reset.
