Re-calibrate the inputs. Takes 1 minute, just follow the on screen instructions. That might be needed if you were updating from an much older version.
And for recording I suggest using the combined CV+Gate/Trigger setting rather than the loose input 1 CV and input 2 Gate.
Also for the inputs, be sure they are 0 to 10 volts! They are not bi-polar.
