Hi, I remember that in earlier firmware versions, I was able to connect third-party MIDI physical ports by jumpering, but after updating to the latest firmware, if I connected it, Nerdseq would get stuck on a white screen when booting up, so I would like to ask if it is now impossible to connect third-party MIDI ports? Because I don't want to waste the midi port on the back of my Intellijel 7U case.

What are 3rd party midi ports and what do you mean exactly?

Hello admin, yes I mean that Before, I used a pin cable to connect the midi port on the back of the nerdseq to the midi in out on the back of the Intellijel Designs 7U Stealth Case 104 HP. On the old nerdseq firmware version.it was indeed able to connect successfully and output the nerdseq's midi track from the back of the Intellijel Designs 7U Stealth Case to the DAW. However, I found that in the latest 2.0 version, if I connect it this way, the nerdseq will not start normally. I just want to know, has the use of third-party midi interfaces been removed in version 2.0?

Oh. I didn't change anything here as far as I know.
Staying in white screen can be a sign of power issues (wrong connected for example) . And connecting anything else than one of the Midi expanders might cause issues and could kill in the best case the midi port and worst case the NerdSEQ.
There has never been support for 3rd party interfaces. Also we don't know if the voltages are fine, if the 3rd part midi is opto isolated and so on.

Thank you very much for your help, sometimes I have to reduce the HP I carry when traveling, so I just connect directly to the midi port of the case, thank you for your advice, I will also use the midi expander in daily situations because it is always perfect and convenient! I am also considering adding multi I/O, but I really need to sort out whether it is really suitable for me. Thank you for your great work！
