MIDI live input and CV outputs

Hi,

Just get a new Nerdseq last WE. I want to use it to sequence patterns with the addition of a beat step pro from Arturia (with midi live input).

To have a coherent set-up with all my hardware's, I want to be able to  (in a modular track):
midi input C0 ------> Nerseq C2 note --------->CV output 0V
midi input C3 ------> Nerseq C5 note --------->CV output 3V
etc......

basically, Nerdseq output 2V when C2 note is recorded. Using Projet/Transpose, I can transpose output voltage to have C2 note -----> 0V. Great, but......when I couple it with Beatstep pro to live input, C0 midi note always output 2V......

It seems that midi live input is not affected by project/Transpose.

I am stuck with that since this morning.....

For the Midi Input you got a setting in the Midi Setup screen :
"Note IN Offset → As the Midi standard is pretty vague about which frequency for example a C on octave 3 should play and different manufacturers and use different octave offsets, this setting can be used to flexibly change the Midi note input offset, so the octaves always match well, regardless of the Midi input device. The setting can have a positive and negative offset. "

This will offset your Midi input and you don't need to transpose tracks in a way. C-0 will give then 0 volt and C-2 for example 2 volt which is the way to go.

Thanks, indeed it seems more suitable to directly transpose input

The problem (I am the problem ) is that I can't find the menu "Midi Input/Record settings".  In Project/Input-Record Setup, nothing dealing with midi....(page 107) I am with 2.02 firmware

I assume you are looking into the wrong manual then. You need the manual for V2.02A.

In V2.02 there is the Midi/I2C setup in the project screen.
