Nerdseq (master) -> Digitone 2 (slave) setup issue

Hi all,
I am trying to set up my nerdseq as master (I have the Multi-IO) and my digitone 2 as a slave. I want to send clock and transport from the nerdseq to the digitone, but the digitone does not react on the start/stop from the nerdseq.

The settings on digitone are quite simple, as there are only send and receive options. All receive options are marked as "yes".

I have connected the TRS-A out to the digitones midi in. I think my problem lies in mu nerdseq settings - but can't get my head around how it should be set up in the menues. Tried looking at the manual, but did not find anything related to this.

Does someone have experience with this and can help out?

From the NerdSEQ side it can be only this:

Project -> Midi Setup -> Midi Clock Out : Set this to TRS-A/DIN
Turn off Clock send and clock receive SPP since the Digitone doesn't support that.

If that is fine and you see the LED on the TRS-Port active when the NerdSEQ is started, then probably check the cable and the adapter to DIN.
I got the digitone 1 and it works just fine.

thanks a lot, yeah the red light is on the TRS A out, when the nerdseq is running now. but theres no reaction on the digitone 2. I'll try to get another cable and see if it helps.

Didn’t you use the original cable that came with the Multi-IO?

I thought I did, but I just switched and now its working. However I get a small latency between the nerdseq and the digitone 2 now. how do you work with that? is there a way to mitigate that?

SPP is turned off, right?

Turn off that overbridge stuff on the digitone. I remember I read something about that on the elektronauts forum.
The NerdSEQ is sending a good midi clock without latency.

Ok I’ll try that, but how do you then get all the tracks into the DAW without overbridge? I am using Ableton as DAW.

My current setup includes ES-9, Pam’s, NerdSeq and now a digitone 2

I think that is a thing that you got to ask to Elektron.
