Hi Forum,
I've just toyed a bit with the quantize settings in tables and found I could not quantize the way I wanted. Here's my usecase:
Allowed Notes set to
C, E, G (C maj threechord)
I want this quantization:
C# -> C
D -> C or E, see note below
D# -> E
F -> E
F# -> G
G# -> G
A -> G
A# -> C
B -> C
Essentially this maps to the nearest note. D is a special case as there is no clear nearest. Here I want to choose between UP/LOW/COIN (I would have preferred DOWN instead of LOW since that's the former is the opposite of UP while the later is the opposite of HIGH...)
I suggest to name these N-UP/N-DN (or N-LW)/N-CN
At least in my tests the current behaviour of UP and LOW is such that notes outside the allow ones are always quantized UP or LOW(DOWN) which of course is a mode I want to have as well
If what I suggest is already there, I have not yet understood how to achieve it.
Kind regards,
Michael
