FX column values persist after FX deletion
#1
I noticed in the track overview that values from FX commands persist after I’ve deleted them from the pattern. It’s easy enough to go and reset them in the overview screen and I believe there is a nerd menu command that resets all FX. Is it possible to implement code that automatically resets the FX after deletion? This would stream line the work flow.

That wouldn't make any sense.

You play pattern 05 on track 1 but you delete a fx on pattern 09 on track 4 which is not playing but you want to edit it. You never want these FX to be touched.

I don't understand.

On track 1, Pattern 01, I tried a bunch of different FX (specifically note probability). I didn't like the result, so I deleted the FX. The probability values from these FX persisted after I deleted them. I cleared the values (zeroed them out) on the track 1 overview page. Exactly what I wanted, so I do want these FX to be touched.

I can see if you use the same pattern 01 accross multiple tracks you wouldn't want to delete the FX from pattern 01 on track 1 because it would affect pattern 01 playing on another track, but that's why we have the clone feature.

It would be convenient if the FX values reset on deletion. Just a suggestion.

You are setting functions with the FX just like turning a knob.
If you delete any FX from somewhere and even in the same pattern, you don’t want these FX to change cause of that deletion.
Live access or the player change these, but not a random edit.
Trust me, you don’t eant that and it would be only in the way.
