Drum Matrix with MIDI ?

For each drum matrix ‚column‘ you will be able to configure it’s exact midi message and channel. And of course euclidean and shifting included.
But i think the max support will be 8 columns per track because as far as i remember (i got to check that), there is only memory left for that.

is this still in the pipeline? 6 columns is fine for me!

It’s funny that you mention that. By chance, 6 is the magic number that would be fine for me too, though 8 will certainly be appreciated.

I’m looking forward to whenever this lands. I’m fine without it in the meantime, of course, but it’ll be fun to trigger my OT and/or MD from the trigger matrix and might allow me to free up some channels in the Assimil8or.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread

But is there a way to do this? I'm sure it was an easter egg in an earlier firmware but I can't for the life of me figure it out!

I'm SURE i had the matrix going for a non-trigger track.....

Or was it a dream?

I’m sure it was a dream. I had some plans for it though, but I am not sure if it is possible with a midi track as there is no pattern column memory left for it. If then I would have to apply some dirty tricks.

I just realised I was thinking of the "piano roll" setting in the trigger16 tracks.

That would be so awesome if it could output to MIDI. But understand if it's not possible!

My idea would be maybe to enable the drummatrix you would get rid of 1 FX column. That would free the needed memory for it.
But it is nothing for the very near future. My work level is like 200% at the moment...but it is on my list and surely a nice addition!
