Longer pattern lengths?

Not sure if this has been discussed before (couldn't find any threads with on it) or if there are other ways to handle my issue with the current 64  step pattern length.

I like having self-contained conceptual patterns, like a verse being one pattern and a chorus being another one. However with the current pattern length I am often dividing these sections (like a verse) into multiple patterns. This wouldn't be too much of a hassle, but I run into workflow issues when live recording into patterns. When I'm live recording, it's not possible to record from one pattern to the next and will loop the same pattern from the start. So it becomes cumbersome to live record a verse or a chorus that is longer than 64 steps. 

One work around I've started to use is to /2 chord patterns and thus effectively get longer patterns lengths - but this introduces sync issues with other tracks of a different length. 

Curious to how other people are dividing their patterns and maybe I'm overlooking something here.

Longer patterns are not possible -> memory and like refactoring everything.

Not sure what the issue is to record into multiple patterns? You can make an island of multiple patterns that will loop. Or add some of the start pattern commands in one of the patterns to loop specific parts. If in the pattern and holding the pattern button and cursor up/down/left/right lets you navigate fastly between the patterns.

Oh maybe, I am missing something in regards to live-recording. That would solve it instantly if I CAN record live into the whole island of multiple patterns.

If you start recording in pattern 04, and the play continues to an adjecent pattern 05, will it record into pattern 5 as well? Running over to my nerdseq now to see what the behaviour is.

Yes.
Like if you got the patterns like this in the sequencer screen:

03
04
05
--
and you start recording with 01, then it would keep recordinf 01-03-04-05 and back to 01..

Oh wow. Haha → it does record into the next pattern!

I would stop recording because I couldn't see that pattern, being inside the pattern screen while recording - and only seeing it loop in that pattern. Staying in the sequencer screen and recording from there first and then going into each pattern to edit gives me a better overview.
