CV I/O in the Automator screen
#1
Hi, I'm trying to route a fader to control FX probability using the Automator screen, but no matter what I do, the CV inputs don't seem to affect the Automator.

I've set up CV I / O in slot 0 and I've set the source to In 1. Then I set my track (7) to FX2 Probability, but it doesn't seem to do anything to the probability. I also feel like I remember people saying that you could see the input reflected in the bar on the Automator screen, but nothing happens. I've wired my fader to Input 1 and I've also tried with an LFO from a different source and nothing seems to happen in the Automate screen.

If I go to my Input / Record Setup and turn on live input and set Input 1 Live to transpose, for example, it works fine.

I feel like I'm missing something basic like enabling the inputs to be used in the Automator, but I can't see anything about it in the manual.

Yes you should get the visual feedback in the automator.

Just maybe silly, but did you start the automator? Is your amplitude high enough to see any result? I assume track 7 is an audio track?
Also, if you say you connected an LFO to the input. You should be aware that the inputs allow 0-10 Volts while an LFO is normally bipolar. Just be aware of that.

Sad
I started the Automator, yeah. I'm using my Sweet Sixteen as a CV generator (0-8v). Track 7 that I want to manipulate the FX2 Probability of is my Trigger 16 track.

I've attached a screenshot - Where would I see the activity if there was any?

In the middle. Set the automator to an LFO and you will see the middle bar moving. It does exactly this with the fader input. I just tested it with a 16n. It works.

I'll check that out when I come home after work, thanks!

I'm fairly sure I've tried everything, including multiple modulation sources and inputs in the NerdSeq and I just can't get an input to affect the Automator.

Do you have any ideas on how to troubleshoot from here?

Try that first and we'll see. Maybe they are other functions which overrule the thing, but I can't think of one at the moment.
You might want to test also on a track 1..6 and don't assign 7 or 8 to a expander.

Live Input can stay off, it is not related to the automators.

Alright, I did manage to get it working without really figuring out what was causing the issue.

I put an LFO in slot 0 and it still didn't move the indicator at all.

At this point I made a new project, since I realized I had been loading a default project I made the whole time and it works in the clean project, so there must be some setting somewhere that is messing with it, but the Automator in general, I guess, since the LFO wasn't running either.

Maybe you send me the project and I can check it out. But good to hear that it works now.

Ah, I I was messing around with my new fresh project and almost the same thing happen, so I'll attach the project, which is almost a fully reset project.

There are two identical Automators in slot 0 and in slot 1. Starting the Automator in Slot 0 doesn't do anything (including LFO, etc), but the one in slot 1 works just fine.

This was working a few minutes before without changing any other settings than Automator destination, as far as I recall.

Without looking I think you check the latest bug reports. Should be that then.
