A way to trigger envelopes from the sample tracks 7 & 8
#1
I might be missing something and this might be possible but I can't find a way to do it.

I have created a 4 Operator FM patch (a kind of "solid/lately" bass) and and I am using envelope 1 as the main carrier amplitide envelope, and 3 other envelopes as modulator envelopes.

At the moment the only way to trigger the envelopes is to sacrifice another track and set that track as the source trigger for them.

Is it possible in a future release to allow envelopes to be triggered from notes entered in the sample tracks?

There is no trigger colum in sample tracks, but of course samples are still possible to be triggered by the notes entered.

I do have "Auto Gate on Note" enabled in the setup options.

Thanks.

Envelope source -> Audio 1..4 is using the gates of the samples as envelope gate, the same as the regular gates.

Be sure you use it well. Because a Gate is on as long as the sample/waveform plays. Which means that there might be no retriggering if you just play or change waveforms.
For that the gate-off in the note column can be used or the retrigger command with 0000 as value. So depending on how you use the envelopes (one shot/AD-SR) it listens differently to the gates/triggers.

Lately bass easy possible with that. I know from my own experience  Cool

Excellent I got it working!

Yes it was because I had no note off information, and also if I had 2 or more notes next to each other I have to add an envelop trigger effect otherwise it "slides" to the next note (which is in itself a cool effect!)

Thanks for the clarification - I now have another free track to use Smile
