Is there some way to decouple gates and triggers on a track?
Let's say I use a track for a voice, but only the CV and MOD which is an internal envelope gated internally.
Is it possible to then use the trigger output independently? Say to trigger a drum sound on a different step that may not have a note/gate - without also triggering the gate?
If not - treat this is a feature request please!

I think (aka haven't tried) you could drive e.g. Trig 1 with an FX from any track. I'm not entirely sure about track 1 but given the order of processing as I understand it it should work at least on tracks 2-6
Is that what you want?
Kind regards,
Michael

If I understand correctly then you only need to turn off autogate. The gate will not be set or reset anymore then where the notes are.
Else you can also use the kill 000 fx which does the same for the step if autogate is turned on.
Your trigger outputs are free to use then from the trigger or fx columns. (They are anyway)

No, what i'm looking for is the note/gate to be independent of the trigger outputs. So that when using the gate only internally, I can use the trigger for a separate independent voice.
So within a track, I can set a trigger on an output that doesn't also activate the internal gate. Is this making sense?
Right now, any trigger I set also activates the internal gate for the envelope, even if I don't have a note/gate set in the first row.

Oh in combination with the envelopes. I would remove
the source and start the envelope from a FX.

I worked with it a bit, but it's much more cumbersome than just setting the input source of an envelope to a gate. I haven't tried it for this use case, but will give it a shot to see if it works like i'm hoping.

I gave this a shot. Gate sourcing the envelopes is much less "cumbersome" and requires less steps than commanding from the FX - and using FX, unless i'm just missing something or not understanding the other options, there doesn't seem to be a way to use AD-SR mode for the envelope. Presumably because it needs to reference a gate. I am able to now use independent triggers with this mode though.
I still think it would be extremely useful from a multi-sequencing standpoint to de-couple the internal gates from the external trigger outs if possible. Users could freely sequence a 6 drum section AND 8 voices (with AD-SR) with ease.
