Options to not reset CV Overrides

It would be handy if there was a setting in the automator screen for CV Inputs, that prevents e.g. FX overrides to keep the CV value, instead of resetting to the programmed value in the pattern, when there was no CV change. For example:

• I have the Mod output of a track generating an envelope, triggered by the gates of this track.
  
• In a pattern on this track, I set FX1 to set the envelope decay on some steps (or all, or just step 1, doesn't matter).
  
• In automator, I route CV input 1 to override this FX1 value.
  
• I have a hardware offset knob plugged in CV input 1. The purpose of this knob if to have live control of envelope decay.
  

When you turn the knob, next time the pattern passes a step that has FX1 set, it sees that CV input 1 changed value, and so it uses this value (for envelope decay). But when I now leave the knob alone, the next time the pattern passes an FX1 step, there was no CV input 1 change, so it uses the programmed value of FX1, hence resetting the envelope decay to what is programmed in the step, instead of using the current knob value.
So having a setting to always use the CV input 1 value, instead of only when it was changed, would solve this problem.
