randomize timing

I've been trying to figure out if there's a way to randomize the timing slightly for a midi track. I'd like to be able to lead the beat, lag the beat, or both, by a small random amount to reduce the mechanical feel. Like maybe some way to slightly randomize the groove, but not let things get out of sync. Are there (or could there be) any tools to accomplish that?
