Enable Midi Clock but Disable Stop/Start messages

Hi there,

Very happy with my NerdSeq and it's amazing to control all my CV / Triggers and also my midi devices.

I'm struggling though with the midi standard sending stop/start messages along with the clock. I have the NerdSeq sending note information over Midi to my Minibrute 2, but the MB2 internal sequencer or arpegiator always switches on when I play any sequence from the NerdSeq. I know this is by design in the midi standard, but is there a way to have the NerdSeq be the only thing playing notes on the MB2? I do need the clock in the MB2 to be synced from Midi (it's key to the sound/patch I have). 

So to summarize my question → 

1. Can you switch off the start/stop messages without switching off the midi-clock going to MB2?
2. Is the alternative maybe using CV-clock in stead of the midi-clock?
3. How do other machines handle external Midi-notes with their own internal arp's / sequencer not getting in the way?

This is normal behavior and most devices act like the MB2...
One solution is to filter out start/stop messages, i'm using a MI Midipal for this but there are several Midi Tools out there capable of this.

Yes, better to do this on the receiving end IMO. I just picked up a blowout Korg OpSix that just needed start/stop RX turned off.

In the end my solution was to create an empty sequence on the MB2 and thus the sequence will still be triggered by the midi start/stop but it's empty and thus doesn't interfere. Any notes the Nerdseq sends are free to be played as desired. ;-)
