Custom Screensavers

Dear community, 

I used the search function & did not find anything on this so I here goes. I would love to be able to have a custom screensaver on the Nerdseq, it would give people a way to express themselves in their Modular. Since I do not know if the current one is a video file, I dont know how hard this would be to implement.

It is not a video but a realtime animation generated by code.
I don;t really have time to implement any other screensavers. And custom would need someone who is coding it.

Thanks for the reply - if it`s coded, I understand the overhead. Without a video option, this would also be way to complex for many to benefit

How are the animation coded? Could you open up the screensaver to look for files in a specific folder on the sd card?

The screensaver animations are simple c-code. It is not possible to replace them or write your own. They are part of the firmware.
